June Card Club Date

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to post June's card club before any other  plans for this month comes along.  My daughter has her 6th birthday and we have a few different graduation parties to go to.  It looks like the 24th is the best night.  We will make a total of 4 cards.  One of the stamp sets we will  be using is Open Seas from the summer mini that's going on right now.  Space is limited so please let me know if you'll be attending.

P.S.  For those of you who are part of our baby card swap, you can bring your cards with you that night and we will do the swap then.

Happy Birthday Jeff!

My Brother-in-law Jeff celebrated a birthday yesterday.  I was so happy when I remembered that I had the Cheers to you stamp set and it had this beer mug that fits perfectly with Jeff.  I decided to make 2 more for the 2 more male birthdays that are coming up in the next few weeks.

Stampin Up's Retire list is almost here!

Hello Everyone,  It's that time of year again when Stampin Up! goes out with the old and in with the new.   On June 1st Stampin Up! will be releasing their list of all items that are being retired before the new 2011-2012 catalog comes out in July.  I will be placing 2 orders in June.  One by the 3rd for anyone who wishes to try and get their hands on any retiring items.  Once they are sold out of a certain item then you're out of luck.  Be sure to get your reinkers, paper or stamp sets before they're gone.  I'll also be placing our usual stamp club order on the 15th.  Anyone is welcome to place orders on that day as well.
Happy Stamping!

Shirt Cards for Father's day are always a hit

I just love these male shirt cards.  They were a big hit last year when I made them for my husband and my father.  If I can get some time tomorrow, I will try and get a video up on how to make these.  My card club girls made this card last year before father's day but I couldn't resist making them again for anyone else who hasn't seen them yet.

Uncharted Territory

Here's another father themed card that I may be using next month for father's day.  I'm not entirely pleased with this card because I couldn't seem to get the colors right.  I used watercolor pencils and then blended it with blender pens.  I colored and blended and colored again.  I finally gave up.  It will have to do.
supplies used:
Stamps- Uncharted territory, mega mixed messages (pti)
Paper- river rock, basic black, whisper white
Accessories- water color pencils, white gel pen, jute twine

Lovely as a Tree

As long as I can remember, I have loved this stamp set.  It's a great set for making masculine card and even great Christmas cards.  A father's day card would be perfect as well.  I did a masking technique on this one using some photocopy paper and temporary adhesive.  I embossed the trees on using versa mark and basic black just to make sure that they resisted the sponged ink.  I've listed the supplies used below
Supplies used:
Paper-Marina mist, Crumb cake, Whisper white, basic black
Ink- Marina mist, summer sun, certainly celery, basic black, versa mark
other supplies- Lovely as a tree stamp set, photo corner ex large punch, bronze brads, dimensionals
