Get well soon
I needed to make a get well card for someone and I just happened to have a great pin on pinterest with this layout. Sooo easy to copy. I just love the idea of this bandage made from some crumb cake paper and a Swiss dots folder. Can't get easier then that.

Happy Graduation Ashley
My youngest cousin Ashley graduated from URI and we will be celebrating her graduation with her on Sunday. We are all so proud of her. Here is a card that I saw on one of the blogs that I follow and I thought that it would be perfect. I added a little blue in the collar to add a little of the school's color into the mix but I left the gown black because that's what was worn on that day. I hope she likes it.

Sympathy card with style of elements
A work friend had a death in the family. I wanted to send her a card and thought that the style of Elements stamp set is always nice for so many occasions. We made a similar card during card club a while back doing this window technique.

Fathers Day
Here is the card that I just made for my husband for fathers day. It seemed like it took forever just to come up with this card, I still have to make one for my father. The boat was from the need for speed stamp set and the zig zag background is one of Stampin Ups new embossing folder called Chevron. I embossed some very vanilla and then rubbed the bashful blue stamp pad over it. Hopefully everyone else has got their cards made because time is running out.

Patty's Fabulous 40 card
I LOVE how this came out. After much searching of something great, I thought of doing a high heel in the front of her card. Using my cricut expression and my sure cuts a lot program I found a sexy high heel svg file online and cut out the two layers that made up this design. The sentiment is from the mega mixed messages stamp set by PTI and the splash is from the newly retired extreme elements stamp set. So glad that I got it before it was gone.

Vicky's Baby Shower Card
I'm so sad that I'm not able to make it to my cousin Vicky's baby shower. It happens to fall on the same day as my youngest daughters birthday. I think that June has got to be the busiest day of the year for me. Here is the card that I'm sending to her. The bottom of the baby carriage flips up to add your message.

Happy Mother's Day
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. I had a wonderful day with my family and the weather couldn't have been better. Well, here are the cards that I made for my mother and mother-in-law. I went through a bunch of stamp set to try and find different sized flowers that I stamped in its own colors and then hand cut the vase. I wrapped a thin ribbon around it and added it with a dimensional. They both loved their cards.

Mojo Monday 240
I'm killing 2 birds with 1 stone in this one. I had to make a birthday card for someone and when I came down to my scrapbook, I got the email for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge for this week. I used the uncharted territory stamp set that retired last year. It was one of the first sets that I bought and I'm glad that I got it before it was gone. It's a nice set to use for many occasions.

Here I Am
Here I am. Finally got back on my blog. I've been enjoying the nice weather we have been having around here and not spending too much time stamping. I do have 1 card to show you though. It's a birthday card that I made for my best friend Margaret for her birthday. It was made using the new blossom punch in the mini going on right now with the stamp set to match. I then cut a V out of the top and bottom of the flower to create the butterfly. I also did the rock and roll technique to give this little guy 2 different colors. I have to admit that I did get this idea from the mini catalog but after all, it's that card that got me to buy the set. Don't forget that the very large retire list from Stampin up! is out right now and if you need any of those items before their gone, be sure to order them. I'm doing a group order on 5/5 so if you would like to order with us, please send me your order before then. The last day for the retire list is 5/31 and the new catalog comes out 6/1. Also, If anyone wants a copy of the new catalog please let me know because I will be ordering them on 5/5 also. They will be $3 each.

My Paper Scrap Storage
I thought that I'd share how I store all of my scraps of card stock. This is a binder of just Stampin Up! scraps but you can make one of these for each of your paper types.
This method works wonderful for me and I don't have any wasted scraps anymore.
I start with the Stampin up! round tab punch
When I get a scrap, I punch out that color and staple it to a page protector (found at staples)
Then I add it to a binder that you can organize any way that's easy for you
I then found the RGB color codes for the current SU colors online and slid it under the clear binder cover

Here's a card that I saw on Dawn Olchefske's blog a couple of weeks ago. She punched hers with the new blossom punch that's in the current mini but my punch is not coming in time to make this card for my mother-in-law's birthday so I had to used the 5 petal flower punch and turn it and punched again to make more petals. I wanted to make sure that the pretty DP was showing through the cut out. The DP is from last years in color pack in peach parfait and concord crush. I think that the two colors look great together. The small flower was made using the boho blossom punch and the other flower was from a random punch that's been in my scrap room for years and I have no idea where it came from. Lastly, the sentiment is called Curly Cute by SU.

Simple Single Layer Card
Here's one of those simple single layered cards that is super fast and super easy to make. It's a good layout for one of those times when you forgot to make a card for an occasion and you have to throw one together at the last minute. This one was done in black and white but I'm sure that it would look great in any color combination. The stamp set I used was the new one from the current Sale-a-bration catalog. It's called Fresh Vintage and it was the first item that I picked as my freebie. It's a wonderful versatile set that can be used so many different ways. I also used the oval Designer Frames Embossing folder. It's in the big catalog and also in the SAB as a free item with a qualifying order. All you have to do is just spend $50 by March 31st and you can pick any item from the catalog.

Mojo Monday Challenge
I just realized that I only seem to be posting once a month lately. My scraproom is in my basement. It's cold down there, so I don't have much ambition to go down there at night. Yesterday I had the day off of work and turned on a portable heater and went to work. Since the Mojo Monday email had gone out yesterday I figured that I would tackle that too. I'm going to give this card to my sister Michelle for her birthday since her birthday is 2 days after Easter and this card reminds me of an Easter egg. Here's the Mojo sketch and what I came up with.

Sara Turns 1
I couldn't believe it when my cousin's little baby Sara was turning 1. It seems like she was just born and now she is starting to walk and talk and having her very first birthday bash. I had to make an extra special card for her. I used one of the new edgelits die from Stampin Up! across the bottom of the top layer and I took the monkey from the stamp set Fox and Friends since she has a monkey theme in her room. I made the flowers with the Boho blossom punch and the sentiment came from one of the Sale-a-bration items available right now called Elementary Elegance. This promotion goes until March 31 and with every $50 purchase, you can pick an item from the sale-a-bration catalog. Thanks for stopping by.

Need for Speed
Hello Everyone,
Remember me. I haven't posted anything in a month and it's because I'm always on my iphone and never on my computer anymore. I have to break that habit. I spent last night in my scrap room with my bestest friend Margaret. I made my nephew Jake's birthday card with the stamp set called Need for Speed by Stampin Up!. It's a great set for boys and since I have 5 nephews, I figured that it would be a smart buy.
I think that this is perfect for an 8 year old. The paper I used was crumb cake, old olive ds, chocolate chip and very vanilla. Added some silver liquid pearls (they look like metal) and the sentiment is for the Happiest Birthday Wishes (hostess) set.

Single Layer Card and Some Card News
Almost Happy New Year Everyone! I wanted to start off with some stamp news first, In December we finished our 2nd Stamp Club and If anyone is interested in starting up again I will need to know as soon as possible. We are looking for 6 people to do $25 per month for 6 months and each month someone new will be the hostess and getting the hostess benefits OR we can do 3 people to do $50 per month for 3 months or every other month and receive hostess benefits. Please let me know as soon as you can so that we can start in January. Other news, On January 4th Stampin Up! will be starting their Occasions Mini promotion. The new catalogs will be online and if you would like to get a hard copy, let me know and I'll mail you one.
Now on with the card. The feather stamp used in this card is from the Natures Nest stamp set. I like to take an image and turn it into something else and this is what I came up with. This is a single layer card that probably took about 10 minutes to make from beginning to end.
