New Card Club night for the summer
Happy July everyone!!! I had a great day today at the beach with my sister and all of our kids. It was 96 degrees here today and it was so relaxing. I figured that I would post our new and next card club date. For this month I will be having our regular card club on a Monday night. I know that our weekends are so busy with BBQ's and parties so Monday seems to work better. I'm planning on having our next get together on July 18th at 7pm. If you plan on attending please let me know.
Happy Stamping!

Recycle Those Books
I have created this card but my friend Rachel who has a birthday coming up. I wanted to make a card using some items from around the house. I ended up using a page from my daughter's old Hardy Boys book. It was a book that she didn't like and didn't even want to keep so I took it with me to my scraproom and went to work. I'm really pleased with what I came up with but I'm very sad that this stamp set (cheers to you) is retiring at the end of this month.

paper-chocolate chip card stock, whisper white, book page
Ink- soft suede, basic black

Elements of Style
We got together for my monthly card club last night and we made some fabulous cards. We also had some great goodies to match. My friend Margaret brought over some chocolate covered strawberries that her and her daughter Zoe made for us and I served some sangria. It really got our juices flowing (at least we would like to believe they did. lol ). Here's a photo of the first card we made. I know that you can't see it in the photo but I sprayed the whole card with some champagne shimmer mist. It looked so nice in person.
supplies used:
paper-whisper white, river rock, elegant eggplant
Ink-elegant eggplant, river rock
accessories-basic pearls, embossing border

Another Birthday Card
My sister Patty also had a birthday this month. I've been having so much fun with the Cheers for You stamp set. It's retiring at the end of this month so I'm so glad that I have it already. I may make another one of these for a friend who also has a birthday this month. It's super quick and easy to make but looking at the cocktail in the glass makes me want one and that strawberry looks so yummy!

Happy Birthday My little Monkey
My youngest daughter Ava turned 6 on Thursday. After she fell alseep the other night, me and my other 2 daughters went down to my scrap room to make her birthday cards. We always call her a little monkey so that's why I picked this stamp from the fox and friends set. I'm so sad that this jumbo wheel is retiring. It's called Classic stars and it makes a great background on cards or scrapbook pages. I also added Dazzling diamonds to the monkey's bellys. Hope you like it.
Happy Stamping!

Open Sea Stamp Set
Here's one of the new stamp sets featured in our Summer mini catalog. If you haven't got the Open Sea set yet, you must get it. It's great for Father's day, an adult male birthday or even a child's birthday. It's great for any masculine card. If you're like me, you probably keep buying all of those beautiful flower and butterfly stamp sets which I know are wonderful and as girls we can't resist. But every once in a while we need to give the guys a card too and I'm sure that they wouldn't appreciate a rose with some polka dots. He he, that would be funny though. On to the card,

ink-crumb cake, soft suede

2011-2012 Catalog Giveaway
Hi All,
I'm going to do a little giveaway for the month of June. Since the new Stampin Up! Idea Book and Catalog is due to come out on July 1st, and I know that you all want a hard copy of it. I figured that I would give away a new catalog to anyone placing a minimum $50.00 order in June (before tax and shipping).
Our current Stamp Club is also coming to an end this month, so anyone who wants to continue onto the next stamp club starting in July please let me know. It's a 6 month commitment where everyone takes turns being the hostess each month with a $25 min. order.
I will be putting in an early order on June 5th for those of you who want to place a retired order. You can place your order on the 15th with our regular order but I can't promise that your items will still be available then.

Happy Birthday Jeff!
My Brother-in-law Jeff celebrated a birthday yesterday. I was so happy when I remembered that I had the Cheers to you stamp set and it had this beer mug that fits perfectly with Jeff. I decided to make 2 more for the 2 more male birthdays that are coming up in the next few weeks.

Shirt Cards for Father's day are always a hit
I just love these male shirt cards. They were a big hit last year when I made them for my husband and my father. If I can get some time tomorrow, I will try and get a video up on how to make these. My card club girls made this card last year before father's day but I couldn't resist making them again for anyone else who hasn't seen them yet.

Uncharted Territory
Here's another father themed card that I may be using next month for father's day. I'm not entirely pleased with this card because I couldn't seem to get the colors right. Lovely as a Tree
As long as I can remember, I have loved this stamp set. It's a great set for making masculine card and even great Christmas cards. A father's day card would be perfect as well. I did a masking technique on this one using some photocopy paper and temporary adhesive. I embossed the trees on using versa mark and basic black just to make sure that they resisted the sponged ink. I've listed the supplies used below
Supplies used:
Paper-Marina mist, Crumb cake, Whisper white, basic black
Ink- Marina mist, summer sun, certainly celery, basic black, versa mark
other supplies- Lovely as a tree stamp set, photo corner ex large punch, bronze brads, dimensionals
